At last month’s Open Office Hours, we talked about fundraising, specifically about virtual fundraisers, and with the ups and downs of COVID, it appears these might be in our future for a while longer. RiverHouse Adult Day Center used elitefeats for their virtual 5K run/walk, a full-service event production company that provides timing, marketing, registration, USATF course measuring, volunteer coordination, bib design/printing and more. As event directors of the New York City Turkey Trot, the Brooklyn Greenway Half Marathon, the New York City Hot Cider Hustle and many more they know what it takes to put on a successful event. RiverHouse found them easy to work with and reasonably priced.
Pacific House worked with VeeKast to produce their virtual gala in October 2020. Their event included a mix of full video production support for feature videos, honoree videos, impact videos, pre-recorded speakers, live speakers, and a real-time “fund-a-meter” (aka interactive fundraising thermometer) throughout the evening registering donations as they came in.
Connecticut Foodshare used JB Sports for their Race Against Hunger virtual 5K run/walk event this past April. JB Sports is an event management company that organizes some of New England’s top running events, fitness expos, and health walks. With over 30,000 participants annually, JB Sports is proud to partner with a number of local nonprofits. Since their inception, they have helped raise over $2,000,000 for charitable organizations.
Inspirica produced a live virtual gala this past spring with great success, largely in-house with their staff, but employed a few outside vendors to support their work. These included the following: the event platform service GiveSmart for the fundraising and auction component, M Communications for the livestreaming, and VeeKast for the pre-recorded honoree and award videos and testimonials. All were a pleasure to work with!
